Puzzled? Hands-on sessions at the Logic Puzzle Museum!
Mechanical Puzzles to solve and Hidden Picture Puzzles to decipher are featured in July 2017 at the Logic Puzzle Museum.
Visitors may try the hands-on challenges of 60 hands-on brainteaser puzzles with parts and pieces to turn, match, fit, jump, disassemble, shift and slide using the tokens, big marbles, geometric shapes, wood blocks, and magnetic balls to solve the puzzle!
There are bells to ring when a puzzle is solved, adding to the fun of saying “I did it!” An exhibit of unusual and antique puzzles and time to make a quick puzzle to keep are part of this unusual museum visit.
Puzzle types include mechanical, packing, block, sliding, edge matching, and transfer styles. The hidden picture puzzles are antique fun from the late 1800s and the mid 1900s with tricky images to find.
“Rebus, magic eye, and conundrum puzzles also intrigue and puzzle visitors,” noted Judith Schulz, founder and director.
The family fun at the Logic Puzzle Museum is visited in a 90-minute hands-on session at specific times. "Figure-it-out" fun at the Logic Puzzle Museum is for adults, teens, families and children, ages 5-105, though not younger.
Admission during posted sessions is $9 per person. Tickets are required as space is limited and must be ordered by calling ahead. Large groups may schedule a visit and may be eligible for a discounted group fee. Off-hours times are available for special fees.
The museum gift & toy shop is open after the hands-on session with more than 100 different kinds of logic and brain puzzles plus more than 400 kinds of tops, yo-yos, and gyroscopes. Educational and unusual books, collectibles, vintage toys, old maps, and old games are also available in the gift shop.
The non-profit, educational museum is at 533 Milwaukee Avenue, downtown historic Burlington, Wisconsin. Parking is free.
